We Helped W+ Land a Feature in Ebony Magazine
A spotlight on WOCAN and the young women reshaping agriculture in Cameroon
A media dinner. A website relaunch. Three Climate Week events. One feature in Ebony Magazine. Here's the story of how we helped W+ get the women behind their mission the recognition they've earned, and why the work happening in Cameroon should be on your radar.
W+ is the global standard for measuring and certifying women's empowerment, tied directly to climate and sustainable development goals. Last year, we hosted a media dinner to put that mission in front of the right people. It's still producing traction.
The dinner was one piece of a bigger relationship. We rebuilt the W+ website into a modern e-commerce platform that makes purchasing empowerment credits accessible to corporations and individuals alike, then produced three events during Climate Week NYC 2025 to amplify the launch, including expert panels with W+ leadership, WOCAN, and global voices in climate and finance.
To carry the story into the press, we partnered with PR specialist Carolina Alduey of Clarity Network. The result is a beautiful feature by journalist Sherdell Baker, spotlighting WOCAN and the young women entering agriculture in Cameroon.
It's a timely reminder of why this work matters. Women have always fed the world. We just don't talk about it enough.
